edward and grams

On Tuesday we took my Grandma to see Eclipse. If you know my Grandma, she LOVES Edward. She had her Team Edward shirt on and kept reminding us that he became a vampire in the same year she was born. We drove her car, which is a volvo, and she was sure to remind us that it was the same car as Edwards. she cracks me up. Nathan kept telling her we were sitting close to the screen so she could kiss edward. she would say, "i dont want to kiss him, i just want to look at him." we love her so much and there is never a dull moment hanging out with her. she is so whitty but SO smart. she does crossword puzzles everyday and reads and continues to educate her self daily. shes amazing. i helped her finish a crossword once with my i phone and she was amazed at what i was using. she wants to get herself one of those now, as she says. i feel so blessed to live so close to her and be able to spend a lot of time with her.

summer

i love summer. it has been so fun this summer going to the pool, boating and hanging out with friends. yesterday we were able to spend time with family for 4th of july and today we took my four nephews to the pool. then my sweet husband took me shopping and i found the cutest skinny jeans for 13 dollars with a cute top to go with it. im really getting used to the whole being married, bargain shopping thing. i'll have to post pictures when i wear the outfit.

we also bought our first board game as a married couple. its called settlers of catan and we are obbsessed. every weekend we stay at our friends, brandi and alan's, house playing until at least 3 or 4 in the morning. funny story..so our apartment hasn't been decorated yet and is still pretty plain just because we have been too busy to think about it. so my sister in law and i have been talking about making it cute. at 1:30 in the morning one night brandi and alan were over playing settlers with us and in walks my sister-in-law and victoria with a book shelf and these cute things they bought to make our apt more homey. she started rearranging all our furniture and decorating the place while we just sat at our table finishing our game. it was hilarious. i hope we didnt wake up our neighbors underneath us. we still have a long way to go but theres no rush.

other exciting news. i have been accepted to the university of louisville and am starting school again in the fall. me and nathan have really gone back and forth again on whether i should go or not, but we have had some really cool spiritual experiances and know that its what im supposed to do.

high adventure

this weekend me and nathan were over high adventure and took all the girls camping and boating. i love summertime and hanging out on the lake. i had my first experience of being drugged up and not knowing whats going on. i meant to take a motion sickness pill but i accidentally took a sleeping pill. long story short, i do not remember that night at all except for the part of me puking. after high adventure we rushed home to go to our good friend krista

birthday fun

i love saturdays. i was able to sleep in, and clean our whole apartment. today we went to my brothers to celebrate our nephew caden's birthday. my brother bought this huge waterslide blowup thingy for the kids last summer so we got that out and had a blast. nathan, my brother, and peter probably had more fun than the kids. they were wrestling, having water balloon fights, and rocking the waterslide to scare the kiddos and wrestle with them too. i was able to spend time with my grams, which if you read my blog you know how much i love her. we did have a scare though. nathan lost his wedding ring and after an hour we finally found it. i was also able to have a good chat with one of my good friends from college becca. always nice to chat it up with a friend you miss.

love this boy so much. he is too good to me. i feel so blessed to be able to be married in the temple for eternity. i couldnt imagine spending my life with anyone else. i couldn't laugh with anyone else as much as i do with him.

friday

last night we went to olive garden and to the movies with victoria and peter. we work with peter and i used to hang out with victoria when i was younger. we made the guys watch letters to juliet with us. slowest movie ever, would definently never watch it again. we were dying by the end of the movie because we were so bored. next time we will let the boys pick the movie.

since we got our new car we are stuck listening to the radio. they the same songs over and over and over, includig this one. i dont even like it and i know all the words.

good food, good run

Yesterday me and nathan went running together at a park by our house. i love running with him because its such good motivation, we are always trying to beat eachother. as you can tell he was not excited to go running ha.

sorry about the sideways picture, but this chicken recipe is SO good and SO easy. we loved it. will definently go in our cookbook for one of our favorite dinners.
