7 years

7 years ago today me and Nathan became "boyfriend/girlfriend" for the first time. We had been "talking" for 6 months and I was just being difficult and wouldn't go out with him. So he set a deadline for me which was January 15, 2005. Well, this whole time I knew I wouldn't see him on that day because we both couldn't drive and I wasn't 16 yet. But, Nathan found a way. I was at my friends house that lived in his neighborhood and he ran over there at midnight and asked me out. I know, its precious. Since then we have been inseparable. I can honestly say he has molded me into the person I am today. He has been such a blessing in my life and I still love him more than ever!

Here are some pictures from back in the day (these are old so the quality isn't the best).

Last night we went out to eat to Olive Garden to celebrate. In high school we would always go out to eat there.

simplifying

The last four months were crazy and so busy. This year we decided to simplify our lives so we can focus on the things that matter most. Nathan is only going to school part time, I am just working my regular job and I'm not babysitting anymore. So far I love it. We have time to take care of ourselves and focus on the important things. We have been going to the gym together, taking our vitamins, staying organized and getting things done, reading our scriptures together and individually, and cooking dinner together.

It is so easy to fill up every second of every day. I can't explain the feeling and happiness that has come with simplifying our lives. It has made such a difference just slowing down and recouping from everything. I hope we can keep it up!

holidays

Me and Nathan are watching a movie in bed so I thought I would do a quick blog post.

Once again this year, we went to Texas for Christmas. And once again we were so spoiled and had so much fun. They made sure to keep us busy.

We woke up on Christmas, went to church, and came home and opened all our presents
I was in so much pain with my neck this day. Can you tell??

We went to the Dallas Arboretum where there were so many pretty gardens.

We also went to the BYU Bowl Game which was so much fun. It was such a close game.

Nathan's Mom volunteers as a docent at the Dallas Musuem of Art so we were able to take a tour. I never thought I would want to buy art but after learning about it I totally changed my mind.

You want to know the favorite part of my week? I got an IPhone4. It is my new baby. I never thought I would use it as much as I do, well when Nathan isn't using it.

Here is him playing with it right after we got it and trying to annoy me haha

It was so nice to get away for a little bit and come back with a new year and a fresh start. Me and Nathan have set a lot of goals and I am so excited to get back in the groove of things.

Well thats all for now. I am going to get off here and go snuggle with my hubby!
