On April 19th my Grams passed away at the age of 94. The funeral service was so perfect and so full of love. Nathan was able to say the opening prayer and to be a pallbearer. Us girls also got to go and dress her in her temple clothes which was such a spiritual experience. The difference between a body and a spirit is just so strong.

Honestly, it is so hard to put into words how we miss her and how much of an influence she was in our lives. She is just so special to me and my relationship with her is so sacred and something I will keep close to my heart. The hardest part is knowing that I have the rest of my life that I have to live with out her.

I am so grateful that I get to live with her again. I know that she is with Hunter and I just love knowing that they are buried next to each other.

active

We have been trying to make a better effort in being active.
When its cold outside its so hard to find things to do. You just want to be inside and not
be out in the cold. We have the best park right next to us. It has the perfect track, tennis courts, and
basketball courts. We have been waking up early to go running and then we
sometimes go for a walk or we go play basketball after work.

Today we played 1-on-1 full court. I am very exhausted.

We of course had to wear our Louisville shirts to represent our Cards tonight! It was so fun seeing
everyone at the park wearing red. Wish us luck!

As most of you probably already know, my Grandma has not been doing very well.
This has been a very bittersweet time for my family. It is so sad to imagine what life will be like but it has been such a blessing for us all to gather around and grow closer.

We have been going through all our family pictures. I just feel so so blessed to have had a Grandma like her in my life.

Sundays

Sundays are always a day we look forward to. We get to go to church, come home and take a nice Sunday nap, and then we go to my Grandmas and cook her dinner and spend time with her. Lately, my Mom as been living with her and taking care of her so it is a time we get to spend with them together. We always have such good uplifting conversations. Also, its a day I get to serve them. My Grandma is such a strong lady, and my Mom has kind of been having a lot going on. With working full time its hard to sometimes be with her. I just love being able to serve her and help her out this one day.

Another thing I love about Sundays (and every other day) is spending time with Nathan. It seems like we always end up laying in bed just laughing historically talking. We have no distractions or plans and we get to just be together. Today was especially one of those days where we were just cracking each other up.

It has been a crazy Christmas break. First, going down to Texas and now my nieces are in town from Arizona. We have been spending time with them ever since we got home. I missed them so much and hope they move back to Kentucky one day!

Christmas

Once again this year we went down to Texas for Christmas and once again we were spoiled. It was so nice to get away from work and Nathan have a break from school. We did tons of eating and tons of shopping. My favorite part of the whole trip was watching the family home videos from when Nathan was little. Lets just say it made me super baby hungry.

One day we went to this new museum that was actually really cool. They had tons of interactive activities like racing an athlete and seeing how fast your reflex is.

I could not believe it but we had a white Christmas! I kept talking about how bad I wanted one and I was pretty surprised when it actually started snowing.

I always cherish our time that we spend in Texas and we are already looking forward to next year.

3 Years

Happy 3 years (yesterday) to Nathan!
I could not have married a more giving, sensitive, caring, funny, and selfless person.
I am so grateful for him and our marriage. I feel so lucky to be so happy in a marriage where we never get sick of each other or run out of things to talk or laugh about. Our marriage is one of the most proudest things I have in my life.

Alright, I am done with the "gushy bushy" (as Nathan calls it) stuff.

Yesterday I was pretty lame and was totally fine not doing anything and waiting until the weekend to go out to eat. Plus I have been feeling really cheap lately and not wanting to spend money. Nathan picked me up from work and insisted that we do something. It was really bothering him. Not because it was our anniversary and he just loved me so much. It was because it was 12/12/12. We HAD to go do something because this would never happen again. The date.

So to make sure he didn't lose sleep that night, we ended up going to the Melting Pot for desert. We have always wanted to go so we thought we would try it out. It was actually very good.

Happy Anniversary Nathan!  I love you more than life!
